RESEARCH

Supermassive black holes (SMBHs) of 10^6-10^9 solar masses are believed to reside at the center of all massive galaxies; however, how these SMBHs form and grow is not yet fully understood. My research aims at investigating how SMBHs form, grow and which role they play in the formation and evolution of galaxies. This includes observations of intermediate-mass black holes, ultraluminous X-ray sources, active galactic nuclei, radio jets and galaxy mergers.
